solemn assembly

Solemn Assembly is a quarterly program that holds in the church every first Saturday of the quarter in the year. As such, there are four (4) editions in the year. It holds every first Saturday in January, April, July and October. It is usually an early morning program. It is a solemn gathering of saints to worship, thank God and enter or renew covenant with God Almighty. Everybody gathers in the auditorium before it is seven o’clock (7:00am) in the morning as the doors would normally close at 6:58am. This is to avoid all the distractions that go with human movements in any gathering as we simply came to be alone and one with God. That’s why it’s Solemn. in this meetings, we have seen the move of God as we truly come to bare our hearts out to God. God has have to speak to us about various aspects of our lives as “thus saith The Lord” is a common occurrence in the meetings. Several personal testimonies have been born from this meetings.

This meeting has taught us a different kind of discipline: it is in these meetings that we see that it is possible to rise early to seek God. We also discovered that it is possible to be in church early without strolling in late as is common practice among many. If you come a minute past 7:00am, you will meet the doors shut and you will have to wait till a certain time much into the service about the end of the service when the doors will be opened for those outside to come in. It is sweet to seek God early with other saints in one accord.

God honours us as He speaks to us always in this specialized service.. it is a service of hymns, Psalms, prayers, worship, Bible reading, praises, prophecies, words of knowledge, miracles and healings. This special program predates the church: it’s been holding before the church began.
